Ready for Christmas!


    I am finally getting over my cold! I still have a little cough, but its much better. We haven't been up to too much just getting ready for Christmas!!! I like to help Mommy wrap, but my favorite thing to do is put bows on the gifts and then take them off and put them back on :) Over the weekend I got to go visit Santa at the Polaris mall. Last year I wasn't allowed out, but Mommy and Daddy managed to find Santa close to home and I was fine with him. This time was a different story.(See photo below) It's not new, but something I have been doing more of is dancing!!! I will dance to the shortest song or music!(See video below) OT was cancelled last week unfortunately. I still have the desire to eat an actual meal, but have no problem eating small snacks. Hopefully it's just because I've been sick and things will start looking up soon! Prayers for my appetite would be greatly appreciated. Mommy has noticed my G/J Tube is tilted and my site is red. It doesn't bother me and my feedings are fine (knock on wood) but it's time for a new one. They say to get it changed every 3 to 4 months, but it probably won't even last that long and I have had this tube for 3 months so Mommy set up an appointment to get it replaced. Luckily they had an opening for January 2nd which is the same day I see my surgeon for a check up. We have a busy week and weekend coming up and I am super excited to see and meet some family and friends! Please be safe and stay warm. Thanks for reading and all the continuing prayers.

     This week I've been sick. I have a bad cough and runny nose. Mommy and Daddy have also been sick, but they don't have a bad cough like I do so we're going to watch it close and maybe schedule a doctor appointment! Better safe than sorry! OT was good last week which is when my cough started so I didn't and don't have much of an appetite, but I am having no problem eating my favorite snack...Veggie Straws!!! Mommy and I have been wrapping gifts and I got to put the bows on them and had a great time doing so. Every time I go outside I say "Burr" I hope everyone is staying warm. Please pray that I get better soon. Thank you.

Ball or Bulb?


      Hello! This will be a short post since nothing has changed....I know I say that a lot, but with me no change is alright :) I didn't have OT last week, but I am still eating like a champ.  I love to do three different ASL signs while eating.  I ask for food, I ask for more (while saying more) and I say thank you.  I do these signs over and over again!!! I had a great Thanksgiving. We went to three different dinners so we were super busy and full, but we enjoyed spending time with our loved ones and I finally got to meet some family that live out of state! We put our tree up over the weekend and I really like it even though I fell asleep while putting it up! Mommy and I have been doing some Christmas shopping and today when we were shopping for Christmas ornaments I decided I was going to hit one and it fell to the floor and shattered, in my defense it looked like a toy ball.  Something new I've started doing is showing people where my eyes and nose are by blinking and breathing threw my nose heavy instead of pointing...I just think its funnier this way.  I hope you all had a wonderful holiday.  Keep warm!

Good week! 

       This week has been good nothing has changed. I am doing great. OT went well I ate and played like a pro. I won't have OT this week because of Thanksgiving and black Friday, but that's okay because I have been eating and drinking a lot on my own! I have started to do more sign langue my new favorite is food! We haven't done much because it's been so cold out. Brrr, but I am okay with that. I like to be warm. :) I hope everyone else is staying warm and has a great Thanksgiving. I am thankful for Children's Hospital. Not only did they save my life a handful of times, but they are saving other lives everyday!

My First Haircut  

       I've had a busy, but also good week! Last Wednesday I had my 18 month well visit, overall everything is fine I had to get a shot and also a prescription for my mild eczema. Thursday morning I had my OT (Fine Motor skills) evaluation and I did very well. She said I need to work on holding things like crayons a little more, but other than that nothing really stood out to her. We're not sure yet if she'll be back out to help with anything, but should find out soon. I also had another OT appointment (Eating and speech) Thursday afternoon and Friday morning and did very well there too! I am eating much better and willing to try more things and different textures more so than ever before!!! I made a turkey there too! Another thing that happened last Thursday evening was my very first hair cut! Daddy cut the first piece then my grandma did the rest while Mommy almost cried and took pictures :) She says I am growing way to fast and need to stop, but I am just getting started! I am starting to run, hop, skip and do crazy things while walking :) and if it makes someone laugh I continue to do it! I think I might be the family clown! I am also starting to talk more although I hate performing and act shy in front of most people. Daddy had the weekend off so we got to spend a lot of time together. I loved it!!! I am looking forward to Thanksgiving this year because I will be able to go see people unlike last year! I hope all of my followers are doing well and are keeping warm!

Burr!

       Hi everyone! I'm doing well this week!!! Help Me Grow decided to have a therapist come out last Thursday to make sure I am where I need to be with my fine motor skills.  She said I was doing very well, but wanted to come out this week to give me an actual evaluation.  OT was great! I get so excited when my therapist comes out to get me and I lead the way back to our room...I walk the place like I own it! :) My weekend was good we didn't do too much, but I was okay with that because it was kind of cold out! Whenever Mommy or Daddy ask me if I'm cold I like to say "burr" needless to say I've said a lot of that in the past 24 hours! I like to look out the window at the snow!!! Tomorrow I have my 18 month well visit with my pediatrician hopefully all goes well and I don't have to see any doctor until next year!
