Happy Memorial Day! +  AMAZING NEWS! 


       I had a great week.  I got to show a friends horse, Gabe (cause my horse Kate wouldn't get in the trailer) he was such a good boy!  I got second place out of two people  (probably because I was talking the whole time :)) but I  had the best time and I want to do it again!!!  I got to see one of my NICU buddies at her birthday party and had a great time playing with her.  I also went to two cookouts for the holiday.  The only down side to my week was getting a huge sty in my left eye, but I went to the eye doctor and got some medicine and its much better now!  The amazing part of my week and the reason why this weeks post is late is because I went to see my surgeon today and I wanted to wait until we saw her to update everyone. She was really happy with where I am and how I'm doing...so happy that.....I GOT MY G-TUBE OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!  She said since we haven't used it since January and I wasn't losing weight she saw no reason to keep it in.  At first I didn't want them to take it out, but Mommy and I made a deal that if I got it taken out that I could get a new toy...so I let them take it out and then I got a new toy :)  Now we have to pray that the hole remaining will close on its own (they don't stitch it closed because that could cause an infection) they said they usually do, but sometimes the hole need a little help.  If it doesn't close and is still leaking in three months I will have to go back and get my stomach and skin both sutured shut which will include being put under and I night in the hospital.  So please pray it closes all the way on its own!  Mommy changed the dressing last night and this morning and the own was much smaller both times so fingers crossed!!!  Thank you for all of your prayers.  I'm so happy I've reached another goal and proved doctors wrong yet again with your help!

First Dentist Visit


       Sorry for the late post I wanted to wait until today to post it because I had my first Dentist appointment today and wanted to tell you guys about it!  I did great and actually enjoyed it!  I loved the chair and picked out raspberry flavored tooth paste (that surprised Mommy and Daddy for some reason) I also talked to both the lady that cleaned my teeth and the Dentist himself and he told me I was cavity free!!!!  My favorite part was getting a balloon and a Hulk toothbrush!!!  I did so well Mommy and Daddy took me to the zoo afterwards!  I had a great time there and made sure our first stop was the lions.  My favorite part there was the big aquarium, but I got to touch a snake which was pretty cool too!   I finally figured out my F sounds at the beginning of my words...when I talk fast I forget about them, but usually correct myself.  Also I'm not stuttering nearly as much as I was.  I guess maybe I don't need OT anymore which is good seeing as how they never called us back!   I'm pretty excited for this weekend because I will be showing my horse Kate again and also we have a fun birthday party and a cookout to go to!  Next weeks blog will probably be a couple days late because I have an appointment with my surgeon on Thursday.  Please pray I gain weight and we've reached our goal to get my tube taken out!!!

Happy Mother's Day!!! 


       Happy Mothers Day to all the Momma's out there that read my blog!  I hope you all had a great Mothers Day.  Nothing much to update you on.  We had a great week getting stuff done around the house, playing outside, going to a birthday party and having friends over!  We did have a scary moment though... Mommy, Daddy and I went to Chipotle on Mothers Day to grap some dinner and usually I get chicken, but I wanted to try steak (which Mommy thought was a bad idea, but let me try it anyway) And I was fine for few bites and loved it, but then some steak got stuck in my esophagus.  This had happened before with other meet, but we've always been home and Mommy can jump with me or I can go jump on my trampoline and get it down within no time at all, but this time it was really stuck.  We tried for an hour to get it down, but I was uncomfortable and couldn't even swallow my saliva.  Every couple of minutes I would have to cough up what little saliva I tried to swallow because it had nowhere to go and I didn't want to drink any water because the same thing would happen so we got in the car and headed for Children's hospital...we got over half way there and I finally coughed it up and felt so much better and I have been fine ever since then.  PTL!  So I don't get steak for a while, but I did have pork chops and did great with it...Just need to learn to chew more I guess!  Please pray that no more food gets stuck and I gain enough weight to make my sugeon happy this month!

Hello May!


       I can't believe its May already!  I am so happy that the weather has been nice this week.  I've been helping Mommy and Daddy with some yard work and I have also been playing on my awesome swing set!!!  We relaxed most of the week, but also went out to eat with some fiends, went shopping with some birthday money I got and also celebrated one of my NICU friends 3rd birthday!  Yesterday was my Pepaw Bragg's birthday so happy birthday to him!!! Other than that nothing much is going on this week.  We still haven't heard from OT which is odd so Mommy will probably be calling them soon...she goes back and forth on calling them because my stuttering is almost completely gone, but shows up when shes decided not to call!  Go figure!!!  I am still having trouble with pronouncing S and F, but am also getting better with that!  Earlier this week Mommy noticed my eye was a little blood shot, but then it was better the next day and then worse the day after that...after this going on for a few days Mommy and Daddy took me to the eye doctor and found out I had 2 different infections in both eyes.  The doctor said they weren't that bad yet and weren't really bothering me either, but put me on antibiotics for a week.  We went back to him on Sunday (a couple days after starting the meds) and he said things are looking better!  Please pray that my eyes continue to heal 100% and also pray that I continue to gain weight!
