New Cousin! 


       This past week has been very exciting with the arrival of my new cousin, Blakely! She and my aunt Ashley are doing well and getting lots of rest.  Mommy called the doctor about my eyes and the only option is to drain or remove the styes so we made an appointment for August 31th to drain them and hopefully they can and don't have to resort to removing them, but either way I will have to be put under anesthesia which I've had no issues with (knock on wood) but its still very scary. Other than that I have no new news.  I am doing really well with everything else and my g-tube hasn't been leaking (knock on wood...again!)  Thanks for reading!

Small Update


       This week has been slow...we haven't done much other than play outside and go swimming.   Daddy's been working a lot and Mommy and I are awaiting the arrival of my new cousin so we're trying to stay close to home...just in case!  After a couple of weeks without any leaking form my g-tube site it has started leaking again.  We still have one more month before we'd have to go back and get help so fingers crossed.  My eye is so much better, but there is still a spot there so I'm not sure how much longer we're going to wait before going back and get it looked at again.  I am still stuttering, but not much and only when I'm excited, sad or tired.  We are also very slowly weaning down one of my meds called Erythromycin which helps food travel down my esophagus easier.  The whole reason for this is just to get me off of medications, but we know that this is just an experiment and I may still need it.  Prayers are always appreciated.  Thank you!

Doctors Appointment


       I had a pediatrician appointment this morning!  Everything looked good and he advised us to wait a little longer on my eye.  He was shocked at how tall I was.  I am 40 inches tall and on the chart it looks like I'll be around 6'2'' when I'm fully grown.  He was a little concerned with my weight which was 28lbs.  He wants us to try a few things and go back for a weight check in 3 months.  Saturday I got to go watch fireworks and at first I wasn't sure about them because they were sooooo loud, but I learned to like them and couldn't stop talking about them.  I told Mommy that the fireworks "broke the sky" and tried to put out the smoke with my skirt gun!!!  I hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July!  Please pray that I start to gain weight!  Thank you!

Late Post 


      Happy July!  Sorry I'm late this week we've had a busy last couple of days.  I'm feeling much better this week and so is Mommy.  This past weekend I got to meet some more of Mommy's family. They are from Florida.  Unfortunately it was for a funeral, but it was still really nice to meet them and catch up a little bit.  On the way home from the funeral Mommy and I saved a turtle from the middle of the road! (picture below) Sunday we went to the Zoo!  I love the Zoo!!!  I wanted to see the polar bears and even though they were sleeping when we saw them I was still happy!  We also got to see some monkeys playing and fighting.  It was so funny!  My eye is better, but still not back to normal so Mommy has to call the eye doctor and see whats next.  Speaking of eye doctors...I have told Mommy and Daddy that that is what I want to be when I grow up. :)  My g-tube spot is still doing really well it hasn't leaked for a couple of weeks so fingers crossed its healing on its own!  Hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th of July!
