T.J. Thursday???

       Since the middle of June Mommy and Daddy have been waiting for this Wednesday July 11th, only for the Dr.s to say, "Yeah, we have to wait until Thursday July 12th because of schedueling."  As of right now I still have my J-tube in and I'm getting 31mls of milk every hour.  Which is great because I'm gaining weight and getting nutrition from Mommy instead of the TPN medicine.  But I'm not using my stomach so that means my stomach may shrink and cause me to lose growth the longer we wait.  Hopefully I haven't lost any and my esophagus has grown at minimum 1.5cm.  That is what the Dr.s are going to check for on Thursday.  How is the procedure executed you ask?  The Dr.s take me into the X-ray room and then they take out my J-tube and G-tube and replace those with a metal tool and push my esophagus from my stomach upwards.  At the same time they take out my repogul tube and use a tube that shows up on X-rays down my throat and push my other esophagus tube downwards towards the metal tool and take pictures to determine if there is growth.  The space in between the two tools is called my gap.  My gap has to be a minimum of 1.5cm or shorter to be able to be connected.  Extra prayers and fingers crossed for Thursday please!! :-)
