Complete Nutrition 

       Hi!!! This week has been good, Saturday I got to go to the Union County Fair!!! It was my first time going to a fair and I really enjoyed it. Yesterday I had an appointment with Nutrition and everything was great. I have grown so much in the past few months. I am now 25.6 lbs and 31 in long! I also helped Daddy change Mommy's breaks on her car and helped Mommy mow the yard yesterday. It was a good, but long day. OT was awesome today I played with some water, an orange, ate some rice cereal and drank lots of water! Everything else is pretty much the same! Until next week :)

Binky Free

       Hello everyone!  I've been doing really well this week.  I've been trying new foods and drinking more and more water.  OT went pretty well today also.  I ate some food not a lot, but I did play in the water and in the food which I normally don't do.  I have been binky free for almost 30 days now and I'm not looking back at all. I weaned myself out of it!!! My acid reflux is doing much better also.  Now because there isn't much change with me this week I'm going to add lots of pictures. Enjoy!

Quick Healer

       Hi everyone!  I'm doing much better this week and so is my tongue.  My tongue is almost completely healed back together, it still has a few stitches in it but they don't really bother me too much.  On the subject of my mouth I got another tooth this week too, making 9 total!  Thursday we had the meeting with our surgeon about maybe another surgery, but we didn't really like our options, so we are going to wait and see if they come up with anything else or if we can just wait and see if my stomach gets bigger.
     
       On a lighter note I learned how to ask for more in sign language!  We postponed OT until later today so nothing new there yet.  After last week I decided to not to try and do so much and give Mommy and Daddy a break, but today starts a new week for me so we'll see!

Stitches :-(

     So T.J. Tuesday had to be pushed to T.J. Wednesday this week and I will fill you in on why in a minute. My week was great! I had a good 4th of July and got to see some fire works that I really liked! We had a pretty low key weekend and a good start to the week. Then yesterday I had an accident. Mommy was cleaning our mud room and I was in my walker in the kitchen, for those of you who have never been at our house our mud room is connected to our kitchen by two steps. I was trying to get to mommy who had her back turned at the moment and went over head first. I am okay although I had a really bad gash in my tongue that required 8 stitches and my nose and top lip are pretty beat up and bruised. I am doing much better today I even managed to get one of my stitches out so hopefully the others stay in place so I can heal properly.  I am very happy to announce that this accident hasn't stopped me from drinking water! OT was cancelled this week for some reason and will probably be cancelled next week unless we just work with water. Tomorrow I have my Upper GI and clinic with my surgeon so hopefully we get some good news about my stomach and future surgery.

Summer!

Summer!


          So besides my acid reflux and not feeling to well for a couple days, this past week has been another good week! I love being outside for the most part. This is my second summer, but my first summer out of the hospital so I can actually enjoy it! OT was better this week, but still nowhere near where I was before I developed my fistula. Not only am I battling my acid reflux, but I am also teething. I still love drinking water though so that's good. There was mention about a study going on at Children's that helps tube fed babies transition into mouth fed babies so I think we're going to be looking into that. Fingers crossed they have some helpful pointers! We still have not started PT, but only because I don't really need it. I'm doing more everyday and I can even stand for a little bit without holding onto anything so walking is just around the corner. I have an appointment next Thursday with my surgeon to talk about my acid reflux which has been extremely bad lately. I will also be getting an upper GI to see how big my stomach is and then we'll be able to talk about options and dates for my next (and hopefully last) surgery. I do have a new thing I like to do...I like to watch, dance, and sing to Daddy playing his guitars! I think I am going to follow in his footsteps!  Mommy also did teach me one more new thing, how to spit! I think that's about it! Thank you for all your prayers. Please continue to pray for my acid reflux to get better and for my stomach to be big enough for my surgery. :)
