I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! I know I sure did! I loved opening all of my presents and I love playing with all of my new toys. Yesterday was my last appointment for 2014. I saw my feeding specialist and every thing went well. Mommy asked when we were likely to be able to take the tube out. She had asked my surgeon and she said we could talk about it in June at out next appointment which is great, but Mommy wanted to ask the people that actually know what my growing charts look like and what they thought about the whole thing since they're in charge of my feeds and everything. Mommy also asked if there was anything that would be equivalent to my formula such as a food or juice since I don't like the taste of my formula. They said there was a certain type of juice we can get and if I can drink one juice box a day I wouldn't have to drink any milk or have any put through my tube and as long as I could go from now until my next appointment (March 30th) we could talk about removing my tube. (Which hopefully wont be a problem since I have a new found love for juice) ;-o Mommy was shocked and super excited that they are willing to see where I am and think about it instead of sticking to a time table of what works best for other children. Usually they say a tube has to be untouched for 6 to 12 months before they will even talk about it, but since I'm doing so well and gaining weight just fine I guess they figured we can at least evaluate it. So we can't just go out and buy the juice I need. Mommy and Daddy have to order it, but we found it and are looking forward to trying it :) Please pray that I like the juice and I can go without using my tube until my next appointment!!! Mommy thinks I am starting to get my cold back, but has been giving me medicine and I sleep with a humidifier and that seems to be helping. We had no OT again and we're still unsure about when we're going back. Thank you foryou continued prayers. I hope everyone has a safe and fun New Year!

Christmas Week.
We've had a great, but busy weekend. We had Christmas with some of my Mommy's family Sunday afternoon and some of my Daddy's family Sunday evening. It made for a long day, but we had a great time and we loved spending time with everyone. Mommy took me to OT just to find out we actually didn't have OT this week...or next week. We didn't receive a phone call or anything so we're not sure whats going on. This has happened before so Mommy just left a note for my therapist to call us when shes back so we can figure it all out. Mommy wasn't too upset since we were already out shopping anyway getting ready for another Christmas festivity tomorrow. (Christmas Eve) I am getting super excited about seeing more family and opening presents. Today Mommy has explained that Christmas is Jesus' birthday so I am now walking around saying "Happy Birthday Jesus" :) I did get to open a gift today that was given to me by our neighbors. It was a kaleidoscope and I LOVE it. I love all the colors and just want to say thank you so much to the Ruggles. They've always been such great neighbors and friends. We are all still sick :( it's not as bad as it was, but its going on two weeks now and we're ready to feel better. I hope everyone is doing well and enjoys their holidays. Merry Christmas!

Last Swimming Lesson
Saturday was my last swim lesson and Daddy got in with me. Mommy wasn't feeling well (all three of us have been sick) and this was the only one Daddy could make it to so we all thought it'd be nice for him to be a part of it. I had a great last lesson and can't wait to go back. I didn't have OT this week. I am doing great with my g-tube and Mommy likes that its a little smaller. We no longer have that fear of pulling it out and having to rush to the hospital. This past weekend I also got to decorate Christmas cookies with one of my friends. I had a great time and I loved the cookies! I really don't have much to update on since my last post was late. Mommy and I have just been getting ready for our Christmas festivities that start this weekend. Hope all of you are doing well.

Late post = Great news!
I'm sorry about the late post. We wanted to wait until I saw my surgeon to update everyone. My week has been good. I did an awesome job at OT and swimming was good as well! I do have a cold, but I am getting better thanks to medicine. Now for the great news!!! I GOT MY J-TUBE OUT!!! My surgeon was amazed at how well I've been doing and how far I've come since seeing her in July. She had absolutely no problem taking the J part of my G/J tube out! I wanted to keep my tube. I started crying and kept saying "I keep it" but now I am happy its gone. One tube gone and one more to go! It is nice because the tube is a little smaller and if it accidentally gets pulled out Mommy can put it back in where as before I needed a radiologist to do it with an xray machine.. so no more worrying about that. And more good news... she said as long as I maintain my weight and I am able to drink and eat all of the calories I need we can talk about taking my g-tube out in June (The next time I see her) We are beyond excited! My eating specialist appointment was cancelled and rescheduled for the 29th so no update there...I am still eating extremely well and starting to drink more milk and juice, but water is still my favorite :) Thank you all so much for your prayers and continue to pray for me to eat and drink all the calories I need to get my final tube out!!!
Special shout out to my Mommy and Daddy- They have been together for 10 years! My Mommy was 15 and my Daddy was 16 when they fell in love!

Hello December
I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving! My Thanksgiving was great! Mommy, Daddy, and I went to my Memaw and Pepaw Bragg's house and spent time with then, my great Grandma Fisher, my uncle Scott and my Grandpa Vance was there too!!! We talked, played, and had yummy food! We all have a lot to be thankful for. Mommy, Daddy, and I put up our Christmas tree and got out all of our decorations and we even went to see Santa. Last year I was a little scared of Santa, but this year I couldn't wait to see him. When I first saw him I was a little taken back, but Mommy told me I could tell Santa about the toys I wanted so then I let Daddy put me on his lap and I asked him for a big train and a blue truck and got my picture taken with him and even got a sucker that I ate immediately :-) it went much better than last year! I didn't have OT this week. I am tolerating my continuous night feeds directly in to my stomach which is awesome! I go see my surgeon the 11th of this month and then back to see my feeding specialist the 15th so hopefully we can figure something out between the two of them to get my j-tube out. Thank you all for your continued prayers!

Great Week
I had a great week. Swimming was a little cold, but I still had a good time and did a great job. I got to go outside and build my first snowman with Mommy and I LOVED it!!! OT was good. I had a long day leading up to OT so I just wanted to play with the toys, but I did make a pumpkin pie and of course I had to taste it along with some cereal and carrots. :) Well your prayers are working. I am tolerating my night feeds going into my g-tube!!! I can't wait to go back to the doctors and tell them the good news! I am also drinking some of my night feeds by mouth... because the less I have to take through my tube the closer I am to having no tubes! So please pray that I can learn to like my formula and drink a can a day that way I don't use my tube at all!!! Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!
